Shipment Protection Plan Terms and Conditions

  1. This Shiply Shipment Protection program is owned and operated by SHIPPING PROTECTION LTD, a company registered in England and Wales. It provides coverage for loss or damage during shipment for items sent via Shiply delivery services. Enrolling in the Shiply Shipment Protection program is optional but recommended to give you peace of mind that your shipments are protected.

  2. Eligibility

    Eligibility Items shipped via Shiply are eligible for Shiply Shipment Protection. Customers must opt-in and pay the additional protection fee to enroll items in the program. Shiply Shipment Protection only applies to shipments between the original shipper and intended recipient. Items resold or redistributed to other parties are not covered.

  3. Coverage

    Shiply Shipment Protection covers the declared value of an item up to £5,000 in case of loss or damage during eligible Shiply shipments. If an item is lost or damaged beyond repair, the declared value or £5,000, whichever is lower, will be reimbursed. If an item is partially damaged but repairable, Shiply will reimburse the repair cost up to the declared value or £500, whichever is lower.

  4. Exclusions

    Shiply Shipment Protection does not cover the following:

    1. Damage due to improper packaging by shipper

    2. Loss/damage caused by customs, security or other government agencies

    3. Indirect loss or damage, loss of income, loss of sales

    4. Loss or damage to prohibited items such as hazardous materials, animals, currency, perishable items etc.

  5. Claims

    To file a claim, the recipient must inspect shipments upon both collection and delivery and report any loss or damage to Shiply within 24 hours along with photos documenting the damage. Once submitted, claims will be reviewed and validated by the Shiply Claims Department. Approved claims will be paid within 30 business days via check or account credit.

  6. Refunds

    The Shiply Shipment Protection fee is non-refundable unless the entire transaction is cancelled by either the user or transport provider prior to collection. No claims can be made if the protection fee has been refunded.

  7. Modifications

    Shiply reserves the right to modify the terms, coverage, and rates of the Shiply Shipment Protection program at any time. All shipments will be subject to the terms in effect at the time the label is purchased.

  8. Disputes

    Any disputes concerning denied claims or other matters related to the Shiply Shipment Protection program will be governed by the laws of [applicable jurisdiction] and settled through binding arbitration.

  9. Specifically excluded items such as glass, china, mirrors, paintings, antiques, jewelry, watches, furs, precious stones and metals, currency, perishable items, animals, and hazardous materials are not eligible for coverage under the Shiply Shipment Protection program.

  10. Shipping Protection Ltd has the final authority on claim decisions. Claimants have no right to appeal or dispute a claims decision made by Shipping Protection Ltd.

  11. To file a valid claim, the claimant must provide evidence of the condition of the item both before and after the reported loss or damage through original purchase receipts, photos, video, or other means.

  12. Claimants must also provide proof of ownership of the item via original purchase receipt from a verified vendor.

  13. Claims must be reported within 24 hours of delivery or intended delivery date if shipment is delayed or lost. Late claims will be denied.

  14. Claimants must pass an identity verification process by providing government ID, proof of address, purchase receipts, and any other documents required to validate identity.

  15. Payouts will only be made to UK bank accounts in British Pounds. International accounts are not eligible.

  16. Claims payouts will only be made to the original purchaser of the Shiply Shipment Protection plan as listed on the original shipment. Third party payouts are prohibited.

  17. The claimant's bank account details must fully match the name, address, and other identifiers on the Shiply Shipment Protection plan purchase and approved identity verification documents. Payouts require this full match for fraud prevention.

  18. The declared value of the item must accurately reflect the true value. Payouts are capped at the declared value or £500, whichever is lower.

  19. Shipping Protection Ltd reserves the right to inspect damaged items as part of the claims process.

  20. Shipping Protection Ltd may choose to repair or replace damaged items rather than provide monetary reimbursement, at its sole discretion.

  21. A claims processing fee of £25 may be deducted from payouts for approved claims.

  22. Fraudulent claims will result in termination of coverage and criminal prosecution.

  23. Shipping Protection Ltd reserves the right to deny coverage for suspicious claims.

  24. Shipping Protection Ltd is not liable for any loss or damage resulting from events outside its control including weather events, improper packaging by shipper, delays, etc.

  25. The Shiply Shipment Protection Plan acts as additional compensatory protection. Shippers must file claims with any applicable primary insurance plans first.

  26. Shippers must cooperate fully in any claims investigation processes required by Shipping Protection Ltd.

  27. Terms, coverage, and rates are subject to change without notice. All shipments will be governed by the plan documents in effect at time of original shipment.

  28. Claims payouts will be reduced by any partial compensation received from the carrier, shipper, or any insurance plans.

  29. Any disputes must be handled through binding arbitration rather than legal claims. Arbitration shall take place in London, UK.

  30. The Shiply Shipment Protection Plan does not provide any medical, liability, or other coverage beyond the declared value of goods. The plan is solely for reimbursement of items lost or damaged during shipping.

  31. Acceptance of a claims payout constitutes full and final settlement. The claimant waives rights to seek further compensation related to that shipment loss/damage event.

  32. Payouts will be made within 30 days of claim approval. Shipping Protection Ltd is not liable for any losses incurred due to delays in claims processing or payment.

  33. The Shiply Shipment Protection Plan cannot be combined with any other offers, discounts or promotions.

  34. Shipping Protection Ltd maintains the right to terminate the plan at any time. All terms in effect at time of original shipment purchase will remain valid on active shipments.

  35. The Shiply Shipment Protection Plan is only valid for shipments originating and delivering within the United Kingdom. International shipments are not eligible for coverage.

  36. Claimants may be asked to provide an itemized repair estimate from an authorized repair facility as part of the claims process.

  37. Shipping Protection Ltd reserves the right to choose the repair facility or replacement product vendor. Claimants must obtain approval prior to getting repairs or replacements.
