Car Tranport to Spain Tips & Advice / Guide
1) Non-residents of Spain may keep the vehicle for 6 months in a year, renewable on a yearly basis. 2) A UK driving license will allow you to drive for 6 months. You may then apply for an EU or Spanish license. 3) Do not drive until you have your "green" temporary plates from the local Provincial Traffic Department. Within 10 days, you must then pass the vehicle inspection test for a permanent set of plates. 4) The legal minimum driving age in Spain is 18. 5) A driving license is valid for 10 years if the holder is under 45, 5 years for 45-50 year olds and 2 years thereafter.
