Must the item be handled in any particular way?: As with any pool table it needs to be well protected. It is located on the ground floor and is being moved to a room also on the ground floor.

Just to clarify the measurements and weight are estimated. The pool table has a playing surface of 6' x 3' so it's actually a little bigger than that due to the sides. The table top is bigger still but splits into 3 pieces so each piece is smaller that the 2m x 1m I listed it at. I had no idea of the weight so took the estimate from a website selling modern equivalents of this item. As the slate bed is the heaviest part then I assume that doesn't vary much between new and antique but I don't know this for certain. Quotes will need to be for a 2 person delivery as I cannot guarantee any assistance at either end. Before I allow the delivery to be carried out I require proof that you have insurance that covers the moving of a pool table. Please don't bid if you don't have such insurance. I will also want a landline number and contact address.

I haven't got anywhere with Shiply regarding transferring the deposit paid. They've since told me I should apply to have the previous acceptance cancelled - shame they didn't tell me that at the start. They said I would get a refund of the deposit paid but they haven't sent anything. Their support is dreadful as there's no telephone number to contact and they have only answered parts of my emails and ignored other parts. I can't be dealing with this sort of thing and I won't commit any more money as they have not sorted out this problem which is not of my making. I can see also that your bid has expired. I would have liked to have dealt with you but I can't waste any more time with Shiply as I need my table moved so I'm going to have to find someone elsewhere as Shiply has completely lost my confidence. I have been in touch with a couple of couriers before and they have told me that pool tables and piano's were specifically excluded. Also the insurer for the previous bid told me that their courier insurance did not cover the transport of any furniture. Sorry if I mislead you but I wasn't expecting you to give me contact details now, only if I accepted your bid. I was surprised when I accepted a previous bid to find that Shiply only provided me with 2 mobile numbers and an email address. From that information it is impossible to verify someone is a genuine transport company or have any comeback should anything go wrong. Please can you advise whether, if I accept your bid, it will be you that will contact to make the arrangement or do you use a 3rd party to do this? The likelyhood is that it would only be mentioned on the insurance of 'specialist' movers of this type of item, with a much higher cost to move. I would say that in most cases, the slate would not be covered as it would be impossible to guarentee that there was no flaws to start off with. Re the information you require, it is against shiply rules to pass any sort of contact information prior to a bid being accepted. We take every care in the transit of all items, wrapped in this instance to ensure no damage is caused. Hope this helps. Response: I have now added additional information to my listing - I didn't realise that this was being relisted until a few minutes ago. A previous accepted bid had to be cancelled as the transporter didn't have insurance cover. I can't guarantee assistance so will only consider bids for a 2 person delivery and I don't want to invalidate any insurance cover if I or the vendor assist. I can be flexible with delivery dates/times. I would like it done as soon as possible but will want to verify the insurance situation so wouldn't be able to agree to very short notice. - (27/8 at 5:34 PM)
