Shiply in the news...
Web entrepreneur shows he knows how to deliver
- 18th September 2010
A graduate who set up his own internet firm has been crowned one of the country's top young businessmen.
Robert Matthams struggled to find a job when he graduated from Manchester University at the height of the credit crunch.
Robert, 25, came up with the idea for a website which matches up people looking to transport goods with delivery firms travelling similar routes.
The business, called Shiply, has proved a huge success with £30m of work arranged through the site.
And Robert has now been named Shell Young Entrepreneur of the Year.
He said: "I'm glad I took the risk."
