How to transport a bed side cabinet
If you want to transport a bed side cabinet it will be pretty easy, but there are a few things you should do to make sure the move goes smoothly.
Securing the cabinet
The first thing to do is to tape any drawers shut. This will prevent any damage during moving. If the cabinet has drawers it may be better to take the drawers out and transport these separately.
If the cabinet has sharp edges it may be wise to secure these using a soft material or secure a soft blanket to them. This will hopefully stop any damage occurring to the cabinet or to any item during the move.
Most bed side cabinets will be able to be lifted by one person but if not make sure someone is on hand in case you need any assistance.
Transportation
One person should be able to put the cabinet onto the transport vehicle, depending on the size. Once onboard make sure the cabinet is in secure position to stop any movement which may damage either the cabinet or the items around it.
When booking a furniture delivery service through Shiply or indeed anywhere, you should try and gauge whether or not the driver will be working alone or be accompanied by a drivers mate. If they do work alone, it is often expected that you, the customer can assist at pickup and drop-off locations (especially if the goods are particularly large and/or heavy).
