"In the run-up to Christmas one generally does not think about how those presents made it to your door or or for that matter how supermarkets manage to keep their shelves permanently stocked. WE may curse them when we are driving but of course it is all down to HGV's traversing the UK every day, every night, every day. But the Haulage business is being hit hard by the recession. But there may be a glimmer of light amidst all this gloom... a new website has launched which aims to put individuals directly in touch with haulage companies, so that they can take advantage of journeys that lorries are already making. In other words if a lorry is due to go from, say, London to Bristol to make a delivery... why not fill it up on the way back?
